Termite mound

Camouflaged to resemble nature, built to suit the needs of a zoo. Our concrete termite mound for anteaters and chimpanzees encourages natural behavior. Just like in nature, chimpanzees in the zoo can also use tools like sticks or twigs to fish for the "termites" inside.

Anteaters, on the other hand, work with their long, sticky tongues. Our robust and decorative termite mound is equipped with six sealable stainless steel feeding tubes that are easy for zookeepers to remove and clean. Securing the tubes for use with chimpanzees was also taken into account during development.
