Pellet-Maze
An interactive puzzle feeder for great apes.
This enrichment promotes both motor and cognitive skills.
The feed pellets must be conveyed from the great ape to the first feed wheel. Then the animal have to align the other two feed wheels by turning them in order to transport the pellets from the top to the bottom. There they can get to the food by hand or with a poking stick. The mechanics and the inner workings are protected by an all-enclosing, water-repellent stainless steel housing including an impact-resistant Makrolon® window.
Change of pace in the enclosure
Developed in collaboration with our partner stern...gestaltung and made of high-quality stainless steel, the WIDUMAT SGO1 with its spacious feed chute makes it possible to feed animals whole pieces of meat including bones.
The intelligent control of the feeding mechanism simulates a variable situation with changing opening times. Regularly patrolling the feeder therefore promotes mobility, alertness and vigilance.
The WIDUMAT SG01 is connected to a central power supply; depending on the location, solar panels can also be used.
The quick and simple operation/loading saves the zookeeper time for other tasks.

Deceptively real eye-catcher
Camouflaged to resemble nature, built to suit the needs of a zoo. Our concrete termite mound for anteaters and chimpanzees encourages natural behavior.
Swinging sticks — like in the jungle.
A tree dweller like the orangutan needs a lot of skill and experience to move efficiently in the dizzy heights of the rainforest.
The "swinging" from tree to tree that is typical in nature, in which the branches are set in motion, is imitated in a natural way with our swinging sticks.
Several of these enrichments can be arranged into a course and offer a variety of options on the course. Supplementary elements such as ropes, feed racks, platforms or vantage points create additional enrichments for our close relatives in the zoo habitat.
Thanks to a new type of rod holder with an integrated swinging mechanism, developed together with our partner stern...gestaltung, the risk of crushing and pinching is significantly reduced compared to other systems. The proprietary system allows unrestricted swinging in all directions. All of this benefits the animals.
Snake Parcours
A special terrain for all kinds of snakes. This made-to-measure product is equipped with cork branches for modular screwing and and several hiding spots. The integrated scent boxes can e.g. be equipped with litter, and thus create even more incentives for the snake to explore the terrain.
Turntable playground for Great Apes
We all know turntables from playgrounds for kids. But even great apes can have fun with it. A little more quaint and claded with wooden trunks. The stable iron frame and a rotary bearing create great fun for our close relatives. Wild and natural.
